Keller Williams California Associate Demonstrates that KW Cares

Keller Williams HelpsWhether it is a down market or a natural disaster, Keller Williams associates never hesitate to show their true colors when times get tough.

Last week, when the Southern Calif. region was reeling from the impact of rampant fires, market center leadership and associates were mobilizing in a spirit of support and generosity.

Led by Belinda Barone, Regional Director of the Southern Calif. region, Southern California associates joined forces to provide shelter and comfort for their colleagues and fellow community through a program they've deemed, California Cares...The Power of One.

It is estimated that more than 180 Keller Williams associates have been displaced by the fires.

This systematic outreach program offers affected associates shelter, food, clothes, cars, income replacement, moral support and more.

"During difficult times, people unify most," says Barone. "Through California Cares we can give agents a direction and purpose to keep moving forward because things are being taken care of in a unified systematic way."

Barone also said that an intricate part of the California Cares initiative will be a strong focus on moving forward.  "We're kicking off a tour that will travel to our market centers. We'll focus on lead generation and moving forward in a 'smokey market,'" she said.

Tasha Manzano, team leader of the Carlsbad, Calif. market center, and displaced displaced by the fires, says that times like these remind her why she joined this company. "These are challenging times," she said. "But we are skilled people who have the capacity to rise to the occasion. The power of our vision, our values and our company will support us into our future."
